Tickets & Fares
We aim to make travelling with 1st Bus Stop as straightforward and accessible as possible, with a simple flat-fare structure across our public services.
Card Payments Only

All of our services are cashless. We accept contactless debit or credit cards, mobile payments (Apple Pay / Google Pay), and valid passes. Please ensure you have a valid payment method ready when boarding — our drivers cannot accept cash under any circumstances.
Concessionary Travel

We accept valid English National Concessionary Travel Passes for free off-peak travel:
Weekdays: 9:30am – 11:00pm
Weekends & Public Holidays: All day
To use your pass, simply tap it on the ticket machine when boarding. If there's an issue, please show the pass to the driver. These passes are not valid on coach or train services.

Flat Fare System

All journeys on our services operate under a flat fare structure, regardless of distance travelled. This keeps things simple for passengers and ensures a quicker boarding process.
Children & Young People

We welcome younger passengers and support a range of discounted travel options. If your child does not hold a Kent Travel Saver, full fare applies and must be paid by contactless when boarding.
Kent Travel Saver
-
We accept both the Kent Travel Saver and the 16+ Travel Saver on our public services.
KCC Travel Saver (Years 7–11):
Offers free weekday travel between 6am–7pm during term time (excluding August). This pass can save families up to 50% on school travel costs.
Apply via Kent County Council’s website.
KCC 16+ Travel Saver (Years 12–14):
Provides free travel at all times (including weekends and August) for eligible students and apprentices.
